11. God Of War 4

Release Date: Probably 2017, and definitely not before. The Buzz: Though they've refused to say much about it, Sony's Santa Monica Studio have confirmed that they're working on a fourth core God of War game, and it's definitely not a prequel. Why It Might Be The Killer App: Because the previous three core games were some of the best reasons you could ask for to own a PS2 or PS3. It's pretty reasonable to expect that GoW4 will boast more of the same incredible visuals, immensely satisfying combat, and of course, those insanely cinematic boss fights. Why It Might Not Be: The last GoW game, the prequel Ascension, felt like a step backwards and suggested to some that perhaps SCE Santa Monica were a little burned out by the series. It was still a fun game, but more of a 7/10 than a 10/10, though with the exciting prospect of building Kratos' new adventure on PS4 tech, hopefully the studio has taken a nice break and feels rejuvenated again.
