It's a bit like staring mortality in the face to think that the last proper Kingdom Hearts game for consoles came out on the PS2 ten years ago. Since then, the series has enjoyed a lucrative life on handhelds, but the recent HD remakes Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 have done a great job in whetting players' appetites for a brand new, stunningly beautiful HD instalment in the much-loved series. And it may actually be worth the long wait, because there has never time for a new Kingdom Hearts. Not only is it the start of a new console generation, but Disney's been acquiring beloved franchises like some sort of cultural hoarder. With both Marvel and Star Wars characters potentially popping up in Kingdom Hearts III, it's hard to say whose radar this game won't be on. Sephiroth Vs. Darth Vader could actually happen folks, putting an end to heated drunken debates at god-knows-what in the morning on who would win to bed, once and for all.
