Scribblenauts is a really fun series with an even funnier premise, but blending it with DC Comics just made it even better. Scribbling your way to victory with all sorts of puzzles and creations but against the backdrop of some cutesy interpretations of the DC Universe meant that this particular spin-off of the series found an audience immediately, and I'm still finding it difficult to get over just how adorable most of the sprites look. It's one of those titles that you can hop on quickly just to pass the time, and isn't burdened by the overly dark tone most comic book adaptations seem to go for these days. It's endearing for all the right reasons, and if you happen to have a 3DS, more than worth the investment.

He started his own podcast, We Love Dad Movies, in 2022, and has contributed several written pieces to the Eisner-nominated comics website Shelfdust as well.
In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
