12 Biggest Problems With All Video Games In 2015

All that anger and lingering doubt you're feeling? You're not alone.

Here's the thing; gamers have been too nice for far too long, and those in charge have finally realised just to what degree of digital monetisation-bladed murder they can get away with. This isn't 'yet another' article aimlessly bashing the current generation's whizz-bang gimmickry - there's definitely plenty of them out there already and it does play a big part in this approach - but instead it's worth addressing just how many snowballing problems are slowly coming together. When sites like IGN and Giant Bomb are struggling to fill their home pages with anything worth talking about it's a real issue; and that's before you actually really try and think of exclusive titles coming up that'll justify opting to hitch your wagon to either Sony or Microsoft's overly shiny horses. Seriously, right now just try and think of a Playstation or Xbox One exclusive that's coming this year that you're really glad you bought the console for. If you're still someone who's yet to upgrade, do the same for those titles that are making you want to lay down the half-grand cash to play... There's not really anything, is there? The biggest titles of the year - from The Witcher 3 to Rock Band 4 and Metal Gear Solid V - are all third-party, and will be nigh-exactly the same on opposing hardware, begging the question of exactly what the hell are the two most important companies in gaming doing right now to earn your money? It doesn't stop there though - pulling at this particularly dark thread only unravels every key issue that's needed to be addressed for years now.
