12 GameCube Games That Prove It's The Most Underrated Console Ever

All those PS2 owners didn't know what they were missing.

When it comes to looking back through old consoles, the Gamecube is always knocked down. The supposed hardcore gamers would point, laugh and mock the chubby little purple box that bore the name of Nintendo; its minuscule discs, childish nature and brightly-coloured controllers all coming into question to put other 'serious' gamers off fully investing in one. Well, it's official, those people missed out. The GameCube is, and will always be, one of the most severely overrated games consoles of all-time. Sure it didn't have more widely-renowned classics like Crash Bandicoot, the Tony Hawk Pro-Skater series, Spyro the Dragon etc., but what it did offer far surpassed them all. Right now the Wii U is trailing behind Sony and Microsoft's console offerings in a big way, but hardware aside, they have always been the masters of making incredible games. In the unbelievably unlikely circumstance that they ever 'pulled a Sega' and turned into a third party developer, Zelda and Mario games utilising the power of Playstation and Xbox would be as jaw-dropping as they would be sacrilegious. But going back before the Wii, the GameCube was in fact a tremendous little console, with a wide array of outstanding games you'd never see anywhere else. So here are 12 exclusives that prove it will go down as the most underrated games console of all time.
