12 Gaming Predictions For 2020 (Now E3 Isn't Happening)
5. Ubisoft FINALLY Confirms A New Splinter Cell
Ubisoft were also quick to assure fans that they're hoping to deliver a "digital experience" in place of their usual live E3 conference, so it's reasonable to expect a livestream of some kind either on or around E3 week.
It presumably won't boast the pomp (or the cringe) of their stage shows, but should hopefully still allow Ubisoft to drop a megaton or two on unsuspecting players.
Above all else, this has to be the year for a new Splinter Cell, right?
Between supposed GameStop "leaks" of Splinter Cell merchandise and the recent announcement that the franchise's former creative director Maxime Beland was returning to Ubisoft, it's tough to believe that a new entry into the series isn't in development.
Better still, with Watch Dogs: Legion entering its final phases of development in the coming months, it's the perfect time to go full steam ahead on a new Splinter Cell, dropping the first reveal trailer during their live event this summer.
