7. Skyrim - Minecraft
Chances are there are only a handful of people on this earth - outside the initial development team, and even then it's hard to be sure - that have seen absolutely every square inch of code Skyrim has to offer. This reference made news headlines on a handful of gaming blogs back in 2011 as following the launch of Skyrim players started to find a 'Notched Pickaxe', shaped and named in reference to both Minecraft, and it's creator Markus 'Notch' Persson. Found atop the gargantuan mountain appropriately named the 'Throat of the World' the story goes that even though there was a legal dispute going on between Skyrim and Minecraft for the use of the word 'Scrolls' in-game, Bethesda were still huge fans of what Persson had created, and left the pickaxe in the game as a tribute.
