7. Ubisoft's Showcase Of Far Cry 3 At E3 2012

Don't even say the world isn't progressing - no matter how utterly incapable of leading the current western political spectrum is.

You wanna see just how much something from only a few years ago feels completely outdated and kinda ugly now? Check out Far Cry 3's showing from E3 2012, which opened with tribal leader Citra, topless, being felt up while riding the male main character.

Remember this was being shown on a livestream, to an auditorium filled with a huge variety of journalists and industry professionals. And Ubisoft decided to go with one of the most grotty, "Phwoar lads, eh? Phwoar", Michael Bay-esque setups imaginable.

Come on, this was E3, and the whole world was watching at home.

In the final version it wasn't much better - but more because Citra's "choose your friends or me" decision meant the sex scene triggered out of nowhere. Had the script been tighter and the idea of Citra using her body as a weapon or manipulative tool throughout the game been more established, it could've been great.

As it stands, Citra and everything about her is one of the most cringeworthy parts of Far Cry's entire history.
