12 Upcoming Video Games Blatantly Trying To Rip Gamers Off

1. Destiny: House Of Wolves DLC Is Too Much Money For Too Little Content

The Game: The latest DLC pack for Bungie's controversial but undeniably successful MMO shooter Destiny, House of Wolves is reportedly due for release in mid-May. Why It's A Ripoff: Because the last one, The Dark Below, completely gouged players, and so there's little reason to believe this won't be the same. The Dark Below was priced at an absurd $20/£20, and provided an extremely piecemeal amount of additional content. With a fanbase well and truly suckered in, why wouldn't they just repeat this with their next expansion? Will People Buy It Anyway?: Absolutely. The Destiny fanbase is incredibly defensive of Bungie for the most part, and they're totally hooked on the game, so will be lapping it up on the day of release. As for everyone else? They probably sold their copies of the game months ago. Which blatant ripoff games are you going to be avoiding this year? Shout it out in the comments!
