12 Video Games Marketed Entirely On Boobs

10. Bayonetta

The Boobs: Given that Bayonetta is kitted out in nothing but a skin-tight black catsuit at almost all times, it's difficult not to be drawn to her eye-catching figure, specifically her ridiculously large chest, which clearly became the selling point of Platinum Games' frantic action game. The character of Bayonetta has proven rather divisive over the years, with some believing her to be a figure of female empowerment, while others dismiss has as cynically patronising male gamers in particular by implying that such a ridiculously over-proportioned protagonist will have them drooling enough to buy the game in droves, regardless of whether it's actually any good. But Was The Game Any Good?: Even though the chesty protagonist is pandering to fanboy culture pretty obnoxiously, Bayonetta is a fun (if infuriatingly difficult) game that mostly manages to overcome the manner in which it was marketed because it's actually, on a technical level, a well-crafted effort. Though the impending release of Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U is a curious choice, given that Nintendo's console generally steers clear of sexually suggestive characters, the game's director Yusuke Hashimoto has stated that the company were surprisingly forthcoming in allowing them to accentuate their protagonist's curvaceous figure with revealing clothing (including a sexy Link costume, of course).
