11. Death Stranding Is (Finally) Released

Hideo Kojima has been uncharacteristically quiet for the second half of 2018 since revealing the first gameplay footage of Death Stranding at E3, prompting rumours that the game has been internally delayed until 2020.

However, in the latest issue of Famitsu, Kojima teased that a 2019 release date was still on the cards, and given that his Metal Gear Solid V was released almost exactly 2.5 years after it was first announced, a 2019 release would be a proximate distance from Death Stranding's E3 2016 announcement.

Of course Kojima loves to toy with fans, so it's smart not to put too much stock in any of his shadowy whispers, but even with murmurs pointing at a 2020 push, we think the project's still on course for a 2019 drop.
