13 Insane E3 2017 Announcements That Would Shock The World
8. Metroid Switch Is Revealed
The Announcement: After years and years of fans expecting a new AAA console Metroid game to debut at E3, it finally makes its bow at this year's Nintendo Direct E3 show as an upcoming Nintendo Switch title.
How Likely Is It?: It's been seven years since Metroid: Other M came out, and a full decade since the last "proper" Metroid game, so as timely as it seems for the franchise to make its return to consoles, it's more probable that Nintendo simply doesn't care about poor 'ol Samus anymore.
The critical and commercial failure of last year's much-loathed 3DS game Federation Force will likely only fuel Nintendo's ambivalence towards the series. It'd be amazing, but as much as so many Switch owners want it, Nintendo will probably funnel their energy towards surer things. 3/10
