13 Video Games To Play On Halloween (That Aren't Horror-Themed)

5. Banjo-Kazooie

Banjo Kazooie You'd never guess that a game focusing on a bear protagonist and his sidekick bird would make a list dedicated to spooky themes. Well, you'd be wrong. Not only is Banjo-Kazooie incredibly entertaining but the plot follows an evil, green witch named Gruntilda who kidnaps the younger sister of our title hero, making it a perfect entry for our list. Grundy, as she's referred to, concocts a classic witches plan to steal the beauty of Banjo's younger sister and become gorgeous herself. It's up to you to traverse her debauched worlds and rescue the damsel, Tooty. The game is very well-received due to it's innovative gameplay, wonderful story, quirky characters, and imaginative graphics. Be prepared to travel murky swamps, creaky caverns, and the highlight of the game, a desolate mansion filled with creepy creatures from living skeletons to walking tombstones. If you enjoyed classics like Donkey Kong Country and Conker's Bad Fur Day, you'll love Banjo-Kazooie. Published by Rare, Banjo-Kazooie is the best of what they have to offer and playing it during Halloween only increases the awesomeness.
