7. Snake Pass

A brilliantly infuriating platformer, Snake Pass sees the player controlling a snake as they attempt to slither and coil their way to each level's end-point. The crux of the gameplay revolves around the nuanced and challenging serpentine controls, which require immense concentration at times to navigate the various structures and elements standing in your way.

The intentionally annoying control scheme and lack of anything approaching an actual story may put some off, but as an intriguingly singular platformer like nothing else from the genre in recent memory, there's a lot of fun to be had here, and the spritely visuals sure don't hurt.
