14 Best PlayStation Games Of 2015

3. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

You know when you really get immersed in a game, like really make a connection with whatever's onscreen? The real world falls away and you become symbiotically attached to the inputs of your character, nailing every move, enjoying every second and grinning ear-to-ear as you go? That's what Hotline Miami offers in spades, but forever backed by the best soundtrack this side of GTA: San Andreas, controlled in such a way that sees you leaving rooms of armed enemies in a pile of severed limbs and exploded heads. The gore isn't the draw here though, it's racking up the kill-count in time with the neon-drenched score, powering through level to level as a really cool story ties the motives of a whole bunch of different characters together. When all's said and done, it's clear developers Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin wanted to expand on their original vision in every way, and the result is a supremely rewarding gung-ho experience that favours a 'shoot first, finish off any straggling enemies later' approach, the resulting rush of adrenaline being one of the finest gaming experiences you'll ever have.
