14 Best SNES Games You Might Have Missed
13. Pocky And Rocky 2
If bullet hell was the devil's spawn of trigger finger gaming, then Pocky & Rocky 2 would be the bullet heck version: less offensive, not as punishing and just as much going on at once.
As one half of the titular duo, the top down shooter had you taking Pocky through a variety of traditionally inspired Japanese locales, slinging playing cards in any given direction. A second player could jump in as Rocky, or one of the supporting characters found along the way.
These ranged from a sickle-throwing scarecrow, a flying robot, a bomb-throwing strongman or a mole with an inferiority complex. Made even more fun by being able to hoof your companion at enemies for a special attack, P&R2 was equal parts hilarious and fun, as well as fast paced level shooter. It was pinnacle arcade action, scaled down to console level fun.
Not much happened after the sequel, but given the reception to games like Gatling Gears and such, it'd be nice to see a return for the duo.
