14 Incredible Video Game Stories You'll Never Stop Discussing
10. Bioshock: Infinite
Speaking of Bioshock: Infinite it definitely deserves its own entry on the list, as when you consider just how many people only sit on one side of the love/hate fence, the themes within are easily some that are continually dissected and analysed with varying degrees of anger or wide-eyed adoration. For the negatives there's things like the mid-game ghost that just seems to make a mockery of the otherwise explainable machinations of that particular universe (okay there's infinite possibilities, but still, a ghost - come on) or the museum tour-like sense of progression you get throughout Columbia that takes away from the sense of a living, breathing city all around. Lovers of Infinite cite the myriad of themes it dares to dabble in, and from political to racial the idea of tinkering with time to reverse long-standing injustices is a mighty enticing one. That alongside the developing affections main characters Booker and Elizabeth have for one another and the completely ridiculous ending that instantly became one of many peoples' best of all time, means the debate around Infinite's status will most likely rage on.
