14 Ways E3 2018 Will Impact The Future Of Gaming

6. Continuous Games

The number of games we've seen return to E3 this year to release new content and free updates is insane. There is a massive push for games to become continuous experiences, with new content drip-fed to fans over time to maintain their interest in the game. It's all an effort to increase player involvement, and keeping games a more active and prolonged experience is nothing but amazing.

Of course, you have games like the Division 2 announcing their roadmap for a year of content before the game is even released. You also have games that were considered 'dead' getting a new breath of life. For Honor got massive announcements, and reports on the game's player base have been less than favourable.

All in all, more content for free is just superb. The more conscious pro-gamer policies are either a counter to the past few years or a step in the right direction. Either way, we as gamers benefit.

I like video games, writing and writing about video games. Expect sarcasm and the dry wit of a Brit. And the occasional rant of a unhappy Scot. You know... the usual.
