15 'Always Online' Games That You Can't Play Anymore
14. Radical Heights
Poor Cliff Bleszinski; he hasn't had the easiest time in the video game industry since Gears of War 3 and his departure from Epic Games in 2012. Since forming Boss Key Productions in 2014, the developer has released two games during its active years, one of them being Radical Heights and the other, well, we'll see later in the list.
After LawBreakers failed to reach its intended audience, Boss Key Productions rushed out Radical Heights in the hopes that it would catch the popularity wave that games like Fortnite and PUBG were riding. But it's on this list. Which means it did not catch on. In fact, it did so poorly at release that it only lasted 3 months online in 2018 and was eventually shut down in July 2018. But that's not all; the game's failure also saw the closure of Boss Key Productions in May of the same year.
Radical Heights made its way to Steam as an early-access title. But in a world where we see early-access titles like Subnautica, Ark: Survival Evolved and Valheim, Radical Heights just didn't match up to that kind of quality. It was later found out that the developers only worked on Radical Heights for 5 months before pushing it out the door, and unfortunately, it showed.
