2. Tales Of Zestiria

Attack on titan wings of freedom
Sony

There are quite a lot of Tales games out there, just as other long running JRPG series have. It can often be pretty tricky to work out where to start, but Tales Of Zestiria is as good a jumping on point as any.

The main story follows a chap called Sorey, as (minor spoilers), he quickly finds out that he’s the saviour of the land and some sort of religious figure. It’s a little cliched, but Zestiria really makes it work.

The characters are your standard anime/JRPG fare, but all of the semi tropes are very well polished and all work together to create a very nice finished product. Zestiria is actually really good, and it might not sound it at first, but it’s easy to find yourself sucked in to the story of an all powerful evil being and royal shenanigans, with the exciting combat system and characters.

At this point, it’s also fairly inexpensive, so you’ve got no excuse not to try it out.
