15 Best Moments In The Uncharted Series

7. Everything Leading Up To Sam's Betrayal (A Thief's End)

Uncharted 4 Nate Sam

While Uncharted 4 doesn't have as many of those jaw-dropping insane action sequences that defined the previous games in the series, it gets away with it because the ones that are there, are some of the best the franchise has ever seen. And the tower ambush, that starts with a seemingly quiet climb through Libertalia, is one of the title's brilliant few.

But it's the final reveal of this section that cements it as one of the highlights of the whole series. While you're seemingly about to make the classic defying-the-odds Uncharted escape, making your way through an endless stream of rockets, exploding buildings and a brutal fist-fight with the game's hand-to-hand expert, Nadine, the sequence ends with Nate and Sam cornered on a cliff-side with nowhere to run.

As Nate tries to talk his way out of the situation, offering to team up with Rafe and Nadine and explaining that he only wants the treasure to pay off his brother's debt, Rafe drops the bombshell that Sam's entire story has been a lie this whole time.

Before he can even process the information Rafe fires off a shot, sending Nate over the edge and into the river below.
