Regardless of the questionable inclusion of many explosion-filled Batmobile segments that turn the game into a Halo-like Scorpion tank section, Arkham Knight is absolutely spectacular - one hell of an achievement no matter which way you look at it. The sheer scale everything is already going down in history, as although Arkham Asylum nailed the tone of being Batman stranded on Arkham island and City branched that out into a larger playing field, it's Knight that completely embodies the feeling of literally being the Batman. From roaring through the city in the hulking Tumbler-like Batmobile and hearing random goons scream or run for cover ("It's the Batman!") Rocksteady have finally managed to convey the sheer power and mystique behind the character that was always present in the best of his comic appearances. Throw in a story that's absolutely stuffed with brilliant twists, turns and memorable characters - plus a BRILLIANT scene when you get hands-on the new Batsuit - and the consistently enjoyable rollout of every major villain ever to grace DC's pages across the last 75 years makes this one of the most enjoyable Batman experiences in gaming history, alongside one of the greatest games of all time.
