4. The Game Boy Camera Who Are You Running From?
Before digital cameras and smartphones were a thing, the Game Boy Camera was the peak of picture-taking technology. With it, your Game Boy could be hooked up to capture incredibly small, low-resolution, grainy photographs which you could then print out if you had the official Game Boy Printer. The camera also came pre-loaded with a couple of games, including a simple RPG-like command-based experience. Unfortunately, this game also doubled as a portal into the deepest depths of Hell all because of one simple menu option. Selecting RUN from the presented options froze game for a brief moment and one of the three Nightmare Faces of Satan would be displayed on the screen, accompanied by the question WHO ARE YOU RUNNING FROM? (hint: the foul demon possessing this once pure gaming device). Even if you exorcized your Game Boy, and didnt hit RUN ever again, you still werent safe. Any system errors (like a faulty connection) brought up similar devil spawn faces, to the horror of millions of kids the world over.
