16 Hotly Anticipated Video Games Still Coming In 2015

4. Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition & Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

It's nothing new to say that we're positively drowning in remasters, 'definitive editions' or whatever else publishers want to call them, which wouldn't be a problem if there was a steady stream of awesome games to play alongside - although you should check out our Games of the Year (So Far) with regards to, before you feel too glum. However, it's one thing to pump out a 'new' edition of a game that only released the year before (hello The Last of Us, Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider and GTA V), but another entirely to satisfy that urge to play something from the previous generation that's perhaps harder to revisist due to the time spent in between. Enter both the Gears of War and Uncharted trilogies (which are releasing in August and September respectively), both looking to revamp their past hardware's graphics and frame rates in some very big and impressive ways, alongside being perfect candidates for today's landscape thanks to their genres not being too overcooked. It goes without saying the push for these remasters is down to both franchises having their respective fourth instalments in 2016, but providing the price is right, who wouldn't say yes to a blast through one of the best third-person shooters of all time, or the franchise that proved gaming could nail everything Hollywood does and more?
