15 Severely Underrated Xbox 360 Games That Deserve A Second Chance
6. Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen
Now now I know what you're thinking - "Transformers 2? That terrible movie tie-in? What on earth is this guy on?" - but stay with me and all will be explained. Michael Bay's Transformers franchise has in many ways come to epitomise everything that's wrong with the current film industry climate - it's littered with product placement, crude racial stereotypes, wanton destruction that only appeals to the base needs of film-goers, and needlessly sexualised caricatures that lack any and all semblance of what could be a personality. You'd probably think then that any game counterpart would endeavour to imitate the summer blockbusters - but you'd be quite wrong. Sure, High Moon's incredible Cybertron games tower over Revenge of the Fallen completely, but unlike the movie adaptation they have been met with critical and commercial success (and rightly so). The only reason why ROTF earns it spot here is because its multiplayer was remarkably well handled despite its simplicity. Again, this is something many would claim High Moon did better with their Cybertron games, but something about ROTF's combat feels much more natural and fluid. Lobbies are all but deserted now however, so any incentive that once existed to return to this title may have now dissipated completely.
