15 Video Games Everyone Expected To See At E3 2018
14. Metroid Prime 4
Of all the games expected to appear at E3, few seemed as sure a bet as Metroid Prime 4, after it was first announced with a logo reveal at Nintendo's E3 Direct last year.
A brief teaser or snippet of gameplay would've been enough to whip fans into a frenzy, but instead, Nintendo opted to focus their Direct almost entirely on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with Metroid being totally absent.
Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime was later grilled about the omission and replied, "For something that’s not launching in 2018, it just wasn’t the right time", though also said the game was "making great progress."
Fingers crossed that a Nintendo Direct in a few months' time might rectify the glaring no-show, because fans sure are getting antsy about this one (and understandably so).
