What brand do you think a game called Pepsi Invaders is advertising? If you said Pepsi then did you even read the title of this entry? But yeah, usually that answer would make sense, yet Pepsi Invaders was actually made by Coca-Cola.

The game is a Space Invaders clone where you presumably control Coke as you fight against the invading Pepsi.

The thought process was clearly to villainise Coca-Cola’s rival but in reality, they created a game where you spend the entire time looking at the word Pepsi, and oh boy does an ice-cold Pepsi sound good about now.

The game is just so petty, not only is it about you destroying the evil Pepsi but you also can't lose because I guess Coke didn't want a situation where they were overpowered by their rival.

Their desire to maintain their brand image removed a lose-state, therefore preventing the game from even being a fun alternative to Space Invaders.

Yeah, this game is bad. It is notable for being one of the first advergames though so at least it'll be remembered as a footnote in gaming history, forever known as that game that accidentally advertises its main competitor.
