Release Date: 2016...apparently And finally, we come to those games which are tentatively scheduled for release in 2016, but it would surprise roughly no-one if their date slipped, either because development has been long and arduous (Day Z, Dead Island 2, Homefront: The Revolution), the developer is notorious for delaying their games (Final Fantasy XV), or we still know so little about the game in question (Mass Effect: Andromeda). Which of these games will actually be in our hands over the next 12 months? And which will slip to 2017 and possibly beyond? Who knows? But here's our guesses... Prediction: Day Z at least gets some sort of open beta out on consoles but doesn't come out in 2016, Dead Island 2 releases but reception is critically mixed, Square Enix seem strangely confident about FFXV landing next year so we'll go with that, Homefront 2 will go quiet and rumours will abound about it becoming vaporware, and Mass Effect will have a huge unveiling at E3 ahead of a massive year-end marketing campaign ahead of that coveted "holiday" release spot. What are your predictions for these nagging questions? Shout them out in the comments!
