1. The Original Final Fantasy Was Supposed To Be Square's Last Game
There's a bunch of alternate history possibilities amongst these facts, and this is perhaps one of the greatest of all time. Chances are you couldn't name any Square game off the top of your head from before Final Fantasy - and that's for good reason too; the studio were about to declare bankruptcy. Designing Final Fantasy to be their very last game, instead it saved them from the brink and kickstarted the greatest RPG series of all time.
