11. Being Reminded Of Your Own Humanity - Call Of Duty: Black Ops III

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlHJMgmLua4 A few games like Binary Domain and Deus Ex: Human Revolution have delved into what it means to be human, alongside highlighting the horror of a completely autonomous society, however it's Black Ops III that took it to a whole new level. The entire premise of the game revolves around your soldier of choice essentially becoming the next Million Dollar Man, but not before they've tried and failed to go up against an army comprised entirely of bullet-spewing mechs. You can tell right off the bat they're a force to be reckoned with, and come the point where your unit accidentally abandons you to the whims of a robotic adversary well... it ain't pretty. Systematically tearing you apart limb by limb, the soulless machine rips off your appendages like you would a Thanksgiving turkey bone. It really hammers home just how powerful these things would be if they ever got rolled out in such numbers, and watching your own demise in first-person only adds to the horror of the situation. A VR headset version of this would either be incredible or genuinely life-scarring.
