6. Breaking The Fourth Wall To Say Thank You - The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine
We knew it had to happen at some point; CD Projekt RED were always going to close the book on The Witcher and move onto their next project.
Yet, the main game and its first exemplary DLC wrapped with not so much as a goodbye, only for final DLC, Blood & Wine to conclude after a lengthy conversation - contextualised by Geralt finally getting his own house to settle down in - with the White Wolf smiling at the camera before the final cut to black.
Is this truly the end for The Witcher, after the series truly found its stride with the third instalment? In a rare occurrence, I certainly hope so, as this is how you wrap time on a franchise in style.
