1. Uncharted Might Be Connected To The Last Of Us

While Naughty Dog was busy putting the finishing touches on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, it was also deep into the production of The Last of Us. Seeing an opportunity to sneak in a reference to their upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie game, the developers dropped a subtle hint to its plot right in the opening scene.

This easter egg comes in the form of a newspaper, which can be found in the bar where Drake and Sully have their bare-knuckle brawl. The headline reads “Scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus.” This is of course a reference to the fungus that is directly responsible for the outbreak of flesh-eating human monstrosities in The Last of Us.

Could it be? Is Naughty Dog implying that the Uncharted franchise is actually connected to The Last of Us, with both series sharing the same universe? Probably not, but it is nonetheless an amusing idea to toy with, one which doesn’t bode well for our heroes in the future.
