Wasteland 3 is a 2020 isometric RPG that acts as a sequel to the cult classic post-apocalyptic series of the same name that actually served as an inspiration for the Fallout series.

There are plenty of combat and utility skills in the game that help you survive in the frozen wasteland of Colorado. One of them is Animal Whisperer, which allows you to recruit a pet into your team.

At first glance, this may not sound useful, given that the skill limits you to one pet only, and the creature cannot even be something overly strong.

However, this is only if you use the skill as intended.

Since Wasteland 3 doesn’t limit you to one player character only and instead lets you create up to four custom rangers, you can build all of them around the Animal Whisperer skill to go from one pet to four. Afterward, you can increase this number even further to ten animals by recruiting six unique pets, which don’t count towards your pet limit so long as they’re obtained after taming a generic creature first.

With this, you’ll be able to create a full army of crazy critters that will overrun the enemy forces and win every encounter for you.
