15. Heist - GTA Online

The money-sucking behemoth that is GTA Online presents an entire alternate reality of gun crime, stabbings and 'splosions left, right and centre - but the king of the online ring is Heists.

As a mode many expected from launch, it would take Rockstar many, many months to implement the feature, but assumedly it was because they were designing some of the finest content in the game. Case in point: The brilliant prison break where each player has a designated role, from providing the escape vehicle to actually infiltrating the prison itself.

Teamwork is a must, but GTA Online's heists have all the insanity and fun of GTA IV's Three Leaf Clover mission - which in itself was inspired by Michael Mann's 1996 thriller, Heat. It may have taken them a sizeable amount of time to implement online heists, but this is a very unique case of the wait more than being worth it.
