20 Biggest Video Game BOMBS That Deserved Better
15. Jazz Jackrabbit 2
Fans of 2D platformers growing up in the 90s and early 2000s might remember a little series called Jazz Jackrabbit.
Developed by Epic Games (yes, that Epic), the game was one of the most fluid and fast-paced platformers of its time, giving even Sonic, pardon the pun, a run for his money.
The title had fun gameplay and memorable mascots in the form of cool but adorable rabbits, and the first entry in the series was a huge success that put the studio on the map.
However, all this said, you don’t see Jazz anywhere these days, and that’s because the sequel to the game was a huge financial mess.
Somehow, the titan that created Fortnite, aka the most successful title in video game history, failed to make a star out of its green-furred hero, as his second game sold so few copies that it actually cost its publisher, Gathering of Developers, money.
The game didn’t deserve such colossal losses, considering it only improved on all the platforming elements of its predecessor. It also definitely didn’t deserve to bring about the end of its franchise, either, even if Epic’s attempt at a 3D sequel should probably stay in the past.
