20 Coolest Trailers For Bad Video Games

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City had a couple of damn cool trailers. The launch trailer showcased absolute carnage on the streets, heavy explosions, hordes of zombies, and some familiar faces like the Nemesis, Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine. When a cinematic trailer for the game dropped in October 2011, coverage praised its atmosphere and action, with Push Square even going so far as to say it 'pretty much knocks it out of the park.'

Getting to experience the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3 from a completely different perspective, revisiting iconic locations and potentially influencing certain events involving the series' main characters like Leon Kennedy certainly looked like an intriguing prospect, and this squad-based shooter, at least for a brief moment, seemed like it would be able to pull it all off.

Try as it may, Capcom just couldn't stick the landing with this one. Shoddy AI, poor cover mechanics and other issues like ammo scarcity all held Operation Raccoon City back from greatness. For such a cool idea, with a few trailers to back it up, it felt like a rare miss from the Japanese developer, with what looked like a great concept let down by mediocre execution.
