20 MORE Video Game Bosses That Forced You To CHEAT
Shao Kahn. Yellow Devil. Azazel. Absolute nightmares. Luckily, there's a sneaky way to beat them.
Bosses play a fundamental role in video games, since they can kill players' progress dead unless they have harnessed all the skills they've learned up until that point. If the player loses, it's usually because they were unprepared in one way or another. It's irritating to get a Game Over, but reasonable gamers take it in stride, knowing they should triumph if they adjust their tactics.
Unless of course the enemy in question doesn't play fair. There are few things in the gaming world more infuriating than losing to a boss through no fault of your own. No matter how careful you are or what strategy you use, it's irrelevant if your rival doesn't give you a chance. These adversaries may be alien overlords or genocidal maniacs, but a bit of decorum shouldn't be too much to ask for?
And if these evildoers refuse to have integrity, why should you? By using less conventional methods in battle, these seemingly unstoppable antagonists can be vanquished without breaking a sweat.
Obviously, there's little honour in cheating but these cheap villains left us with no other choice.
20. Bishui - Black Myth: Wukong
Even though Black Myth: Wukong players should be well-versed in combat by the time they reach Bishui the Golden Eyed Beast, overpowering the fiery demon is easier said than done.
Simply put, Bishui has a countermeasure for almost every basic tactic. If you spam Bishui, he'll clip you mid-combo. If you heal anywhere near him, the Golden Eyed Beast will leap towards your position, hacking off a sizeable chunk of health. Locking onto Bishui compels him to frantically swing around the area, making the camera count against you. Coupled with his fast lunges, wide sweeps, and sudden gap-closers, eliminating Bishui is a daunting feat.
But it doesn't have to be. Firstly, make sure you have the Thrust Stance ready before entering Bishui's terrain. As soon as the boss' health bar appears, run back to the entrance and leap up to the stair ledge. (You can only reach the ledge if you haven't locked onto Bishui before the fight begins.)
Bishui will charge towards your position but will be unable to reach you. After that, you can keep blasting the sucker with the Thrust Stance until he pops his clogs.
