When Hogwarts Legacy was announced all the way back in 2020, fans of the Potterverse were left salivating. A stunning, next-gen exploration of the wizarding world was just the tonic to wash away the bitter aftertaste left by the dreadful Fantastic Beasts movies.

Harry Potter may have since come under fire for its author's controversial views, but the series is still a cultural behemoth. Hell, EA were made a laughing stock recently when it came to light that they canned a Harry Potter MMO around the turn of the century because they thought the franchise had a "limited shelf-life".

The Harry Potter series gets a lot of (deserved) flak for its uneven storytelling, but the fact remains that it depicts one of the most charming, imagination-grabbing worlds ever committed to print or celluloid, and Hogwarts: Legacy looks like it will be the best virtual representation of that world so far.
