Noivern is a Pokémon currently benefitting from a boost in popularity, being a prominent feature from Generation Six's X & Y games. Its star has risen quickly with fans of the new games, but this will soon start to fall as its true weaknesses start to become more apparent.

For a start, it's nowhere near as strong as the Dragon types from previous generations as its base stat total is significantly lower. It boasts an impressive Speed stat compared to its counterparts, but pales in comparison in virtually every other field.

And while it's relatively quick to grow one of these, the end result just doesn't make the output worthwhile in the end. If you're looking to fill your team with battlers that carry minimal weaknesses, you'll probably want to opt for the likes of Garchomp instead.

Noivern may look pretty darn cool compared to some of the games' other Dragon types, but looks are certainly not enough to get by in the quest to be the best!
