20 Most Underrated Video Games Of The Generation (So Far)
19. The Order: 1886
Sony's first big flop of the generation, The Order: 1886 was derided by fans and critics alike for being more of a movie than a game upon its first release.
Because despite being stunningly beautiful and one of the most graphically impressive games you can find on console, the title's third-person shooting left much to be desired, adopting the same Gears of War cover-based model that ran its course years ago.
But even though the game was perhaps disappointing, it wasn't the complete write-off that it became known as.
The story itself showed a lot of potential (when it was actually focusing on the monsters and ghouls of Victorian England rather than the inter-office politics of the titular Order), and the gameplay was punchy enough to remain enjoyable for the game's short running time.
It's not the greatest game of the generation so far, but it's certainly not the 4/10 disaster that's it's known as, and pretty damn good if you can pick it up on the cheap.
