Calling GTA VI the most anticipated game of the year is like calling Trevor Phillips a bad dinner guest: it's obvious to anyone with a brain.

It's been nearly thirteen years since the last instalment of this monolithic franchise hit the shelves, and, boy howdy, have fans been desperate to see what comes next for Rockstar's flagship series. With that wait ready to end on November 19th 2026, all things look set for this crime-ridden video game to set the world ablaze once again.

Of course, with nothing concrete for gamers to get their hands on, the most precious GTA VI commodity right now is information. Everyone wants to know what the game will feature, what they can expect from the story, how the world will be portrayed, what the gameplay will be like, and more.

Luckily, there is plenty of knowledge to be dug up, with various rumours and leaks giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect from this huge release. So, let's delve into some of the hottest of these factoids.

20. The Biggest GTA Map Ever

GTA V Los Santos
Rockstar

No matter what people tell you, size does matter.

One of the most exciting things about the announcement of a new open-world game is the thought of how much there will be to explore. Previous GTA titles have delivered on this promise time and time again, offering wonderful maps full of spectacle and personality, with GTA V really honing in on size and scale.

Well, you can expect all of that to be blown out of the water with GTA VI, as an incredible fan project (GTA VI Mapping) predicts that the state of Leonida, the game's setting, will be roughly 2.7 times bigger than Los Santos.

Yes, this game world is set to be utterly massive. Some of the areas included are Vice City, the Leonida Keys, and Mount Kalaga National Park. They will be offering up a variety of spaces that will likely be teeming with culture, unique NPCs, and good vibes.

This wonderful project has even drafted a map already, which you can check out here. Talk about dedication.
