One of the titles that led to Acclaim Entertainment filing for bankruptcy, BMX XXX is simply not a very good game. Rumor has it that it started out as a sequel to Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX and when Acclaim could tell that the game was going to be a poor seller they gambled with adding nudity, profanity and adult humour to get some free publicity based on the shock value. Mirra sued to get his name taken off the brand and the game's offending content was censored on the PS2 in the U.S. and on all systems in Australia while certain stores refused to even carry the thing. So the bizarre little game with topless women riding bicycles ended up being a total bomb and to this day more people remember it for the controversy that it whipped up than the game itself? A fitting end. And now for an end that doesn't quite fit in, plus even more legal actions...
