6. Horizon Zero Dawn Is A Beautiful But Empty New IP
Release Date: TBA The Hype: The latest IP from Killzone developers Guerrilla Games is an action RPG in which the player traverses a beautiful, post-apocalyptic land populated by mechanical dinosaurs. Guerrilla have also promised that the game will boast a vast open world and not a single loading screen (we'll see). Why It Might Suck: Any new IP is a massive gamble, and though Horizon certainly looks gorgeous, it remains to be seen whether it can actually serve up much substance to accompany that lush style. If there's not much more to the game than felling these monsters and collecting loot, it could get tedious pretty quickly, and considering that the Killzone games weren't exactly lauded for their stunning plots and characters, this could be where the game majorly falls down.
