Let’s be honest—to say the last Diablo game was a disappointment is about as accurate as saying the Titanic disaster was a slightly bumpy ride.

Every beloved aspect of the previous titles that appeared in Diablo IV felt like a watered-down version of itself, which, combined with incessant microtransactions and the inability to play the game offline, has made even the most devoted fans of the series turn their back on the series.

And then immediately shift their focus to a higher-quality game like Last Epoch.

Published in 2024, Last Epoch is an indie project that raised over $250,000 on Kickstarter for its development. The popularity of the game is obvious given the direction in which mainstream dungeon crawlers have been heading, but the disappointment over modern Diablo games isn’t actually the main reason why Last Epoch has been accumulating fans.

The game is a brilliant addition to the genre, offering an amazing customization system for levelling characters, with filters and open-ended paths that allow you to virtually make any class combination you want!

On top of that, it features creative level design, challenging bosses, and intuitive and in-depth mechanics that improve upon the formula established by its predecessors.
