20 Recent Video Games EVERYONE Knew Would Suck

Open-world sci-fi actioner MindsEye seemed mighty suspect from the moment it was first introduced, because while it was directed by Grand Theft Auto producer Leslie Benzies and looked pretty solid visually, the lead up to its release was marred by so many red flags it could've been legally sold as Red Flag Simulator.

For one, it was barely marketed until weeks before it came out, critics weren't given review codes pre-release, both the CLO and CFO of developer Build a Rocket Boy quit just a week before it came out, and the devs tried to stop people streaming the game on release day.

All this considered, it shocked basically nobody that MindsEye was panned into the Earth's core by critics and general players alike, with many accusing the game of being blatantly unfinished, while even more generous takes called it inoffensively generic at best.

Many players ended up seeking refunds, while its player count fell off a cliff within days of release, sinking to double digits on Steam less than two weeks after it came out.
