6. Layers of Fear 3
Back in February it was a genuine surprise to see Layers of Fear 3 announced, which is somewhat confusingly the fourth entry into Bloober Team's psychological horror series.
Layers of Fear 3 is unexpected simply because Bloober Team was presumed to have matured and moved past this franchise, what with the storming success of their Silent Hill 2 remake, which led them to start work on a remake of the original Silent Hill.
To be kind, Layers of Fear has always been a mediocre franchise, and beyond the series' most passionate, ride-or-die fans, there simply isn't much interest in seeing Bloober go back to that IP when they've proven themselves capable of succeeding in the AAA horror space.
Layers of Fear is an undeniable part of Bloober's journey and ultimately contributed to them getting to where they are today, but how many folk are genuinely excited to see them return to this legacy franchise?
