20 Upcoming Video Games Absolutely NOBODY Wants
7. Shenmue III Enhanced
It was tough not to laugh when, last August, an enhanced edition of Shenmue III was announced for current-gen platforms, with its key features being improved visuals and performance, classic camera modes, quality-of-life gameplay tweaks, and an improved UI.
After all, most of these new features don't really seem like they justify an entirely new SKU, especially as Shenmue III was only originally released back in 2019. A patch would've done the job, honestly.
More to the point, Shenmue III was such a thunderous letdown to so many fans, with its utter refusal to move Ryo's story forward, that precious few are remotely interested in double-dipping on it.
Shenmue III's real issues lie at the fundamental, ground-up level, and a mere enhanced port isn't going to fix them.
The only thing most Shenmue fans want to see right now is Shenmue IV, and so for creator Yu Suzuki to keep dining out on one of the most disappointing video game sequels of all time is, well, only further disappointing.
