5. Red Falcon (Contra)

Red Falcon is the recurring villain in most of the Contra games to date, but his most memorable appearance was in the first game, as what was essentially a gigantic heart-like mass that spewed alien creatures out at you. Keeping an eye on the pods that are firing the aliens out doesn't sound too challenging, but as with any Contra game, it's never as easy as it looks, and if you can actually manage to make your way through it, it's fair to say you've proven yourself to be a hardcore gamer. Once the pods are destroyed, the rest of the fight is a piece of cake, as you just need to keep shooting at the now-undefended heart until it explodes in glorious fashion. You can put your guns down and pat yourself on the back for beating one of the more difficult games in history. You can die a happy man.
