20 Video Game NPCs You CAN'T Afford To Lose
5. Chloe - Detroit: Become Human
Detroit: Become Human is all about moral choices. As your three main characters try to find their role in the android revolution, it is up to you to guide them towards the correct path.
This may sometimes mean making sacrifices. However, if the sacrifice is killing Chloe, you’re better off completely ignoring it.
Chloe, the android who appears in the game’s main menu and acts as Kamski’s personal assistant in-game, is a character that you meet as Connor in the latter half of his storyline.
Kamski will ask you to shoot Chloe in exchange for providing the location of Jericho, the secret headquarters of the deviant resistance group that Connor is tasked with destroying.
The price may seem appropriate to the reward, especially since Chloe doesn’t really resist Kamski’s orders, but if you get tempted to shoot her, the decision will seriously damage Connor’s relationship with his partner Hank.
The penalty for killing Chloe is so severe that unless you have somehow managed to keep a perfect relationship score with Hank up until this point, the man will be guaranteed to betray later on, forcing you to either kill him or die by his hand.
Considering Connor can find Jericho without Kamski’s help, the risk is simply not worth it.
