20 Video Game Skills That Secretly Change The Game
1. Rock Eater - Mewgenics
Mewgenics is a brilliant roguelike about breeding cats in a very ethically dubious manner. The cats you find or breed come with all manner of special skills, but what the game doesn't tell you is that some of these abilities are far more powerful than their description lets on.
One of these skills is "Eat Rock." As the name suggests, Eat Rock allows your cat to, well, eat rocks, giving them a slight boost to their Shield and Strength for every pebble or boulder that your cat gobbles up.
On paper, this ability appears to be nothing but a situational boost. However, it turns out that "eating a rock" applies to ANY rock in the game, including stone-skinned enemies and those that have been turned to stone with Petrify abilities.
This means that if you pair up Eat Rock with any skills that petrify hostiles, your cat can devour the affected creature, killing it instantly.
The game allows you to do this with any regular enemy in the game, and when you use it on bosses and minibosses, the ability still deals a whopping 20 damage.
Considering how dirty cheap this ability is, it's just too good not to munch on your poor, petrified enemies all the time.
